Old Games for Mac OS 9 by Richard Vincenti Jr Home. Ok, so you have your Mac OS 9 machine up and running, now what? Why not fire up some games? There are a lot of great game you can play including Diablo II, Myth II, Sim City 2000, Warcraft, Warcraft II and many more. Maybe you only have a few of these discs or maybe you don't have. Note: The headings on this list indicate the Macintosh System bundle names; the bullet points indicate the version of the System File included in that bundle. This is to make it clearer for people searching for specific bundle versions as opposed to System File versions. Finder File versions are not indicated. 1 Classic Mac OS 1.1 Macintosh System Software (0 - 0.3) 1.1.1 System File 1 1.1.2.

Hi guys,

I was born and raised in DOS and Windows, so my Mac experience is basically zero. But recently I picked up a Macintosh Performa 637CD runing System Software 7.5.3 to play around with for fun, and I'm running into some issues.

The performa didnt include the modem or anyway to get it on a network, so I'm using my Windows 7 PC to try to get games onto it. The .toast files I figured out just fine, and was able to burn them to a disc and play Indiana Jones and the Fate of Atlantis perfectly.

But other older games, like Blackthorne and Might & Magic 2, download as .sit files. Now I was able to figure out that .sit is a Stuffit Expander extension, which is basically a .zip for all intents and purposes, but I cannot get them to be run on my Performa.

I figured out how to burn files to a disc and have them show up on my mac using HFVExplorer and exporting it as a burnable image. But my Perofmra does not have anything installed to handle the .sit files, and when I tried extracting the .sit file on my windows PC, and was able to burn them, the folder contents and files show up on the Performa, but none of them execute.

Is the response I get when double clicking anything from inside the .sit or double clicking the .sit itself.

Is there anyway to get these older games to run on the Performa if they are not in a CD image format?
