Jack OS X consists of four tools: the server Jack and its graphic interface, called JackPilot; JackRouter, which lets any application that uses CoreAudio be a client of the Jack server; and other plugins that boost all its features.
Some applications like Ardour require the installation of Jack OS X in order to be used.
